Kish Race – September 25th

Notice of Race

1. Rules

The race will be sailed under the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the prescriptions of the Irish Sailing
Association (ISA), the rules of each class concerned and this Notice of Race except as modified by the Sailing
Instructions and any amendments thereto.

2. Eligibility

Boats in the Cruiser classes must have an ECHO handicap AND CONFORM TO the appropriate Dublin Bay
Class safety requirements.

3. Entry

The closing date for Entries is 24th September 2016 at 19:00. (Late entries may be accepted at the discretion
of the Race Committee). The entry form is available at www.dmyc.ie, under KISH Race. The entry fee is €.25.
through the on line entry system and Credit cards are accepted in the bar of the DMYC.

4. Handicaps and Prizes

Results for the race will be calculated using ECHO standard TCF handicaps. Overall prizes will be awarded
for the best performance (using an approximate TCF for the one-design boats) . Classes with 5 or more starters
will be awarded a Class prize.

5. Location and Schedule

The race will take place in Dublin Bay, extending to the vicinity of the Kish lighthouse. Start and finish will be
in the vicinity of Dun Laoghaire harbour (unless the race is shortened). First warning gun is at 10:55 on
Sunday 25th September, Announcements may be made on Ch. 68.

6. Sailing Instructions

Sailing Instructions may be downloaded from the web site.

7. Other Information

Hot food will be available after the race in the DMYC. A launch service will be available to and from the
Marina (Channel 37, call sign “DMYC Launch”). The prizes will be presented in the bar of the DMYC when
final results are available.
